Collection: KLINKE

The high performance tableware design is focused on locality, on terrain. Municipal archives of topographical maps led me to Kreuzberg’s actual Berg, now the Viktoriapark hill, as the Ur-Form for Klinke, while geological formations such as pebbly beaches and craggy cliffs informed its aesthetic.

Different shapes derived from these topographies, executed in a variety of natural clay earths, result in table-scapes that sit between still life and landscape.

Despite contrasts in texture, volume and colour, the indulgent, playful forms retain their calm serenity.
