SMC

SMC is inspired by saccharomyces, a family of yeast fungi that digests sugars. We owe nice stuff like bread, vinegar and alcohol to this microbe.  

SMC mimics the way saccharomyces grow in vitro: a ring of undulating ridges frames the plate, the bowl gently cradles its contents like a billowing cushion.
